Dear D88 Parent/Guardian and Staff Members:
This message is to inform you that all schools in the Plano School District will participate in an e-Learning day on Friday, January 12, 2024, due to predictions of heavy snow, high winds, and hazardous road conditions creating a winter storm advisory.
Please look for instructions from your student’s school building regarding requirements for e-Learning.
The Help Desk is available to all Plano School District students. Please contact the Tech Hotline at 630/552-3178, extension 7557, if you are experiencing issues with your Chromebook. Please note that the Tech Department cannot support WiFi connectivity issues in your home or personal devices.
All buildings will be closed to provide staff time to clear the lots and sidewalks. Practices and games are all canceled for Friday, January 12th, and rescheduled as soon as possible. A decision regarding Saturday events will be shared with families after an assessment of facilities has been completed.
Remember, Monday is the MLK school holiday, and students and staff will enjoy a day off. At this time, we anticipate a return to in-person classes on Tuesday, January 16th.
