Dear D88 Parent/Guardian and Staff Members:
This message is to inform you that all schools in the Plano School District will be taking part in a remote learning day on Thursday, February 17th, due to predictions of ice, heavy snow and hazardous road conditions under a winter storm warning until Thursday at 9:00 pm.
The district-wide remote learning schedule is as follows:
8-11 AM - Synchronous Learning (students will virtually attend class at the same time as your instructors and classmates)
11 AM-11:30 AM - Lunch Break
11:30 AM-2:00 PM - Individual Learning Activities
Attendance for remote learning attendance requires student engagement. Students should log-in to their Schoology accounts and complete assignments as assigned by the teacher. Students must participate in live instruction sessions and communicate with the teacher and other students, if applicable. Students will be marked absent if they do not participate in remote learning activities.
The Help Desk is available to all Plano School District students. Please contact the Tech Hotline at 630/552-3178, extension 7557, if you are experiencing issues with your Chromebook. Please note that the Tech Department cannot support WiFi connectivity issues in your home or personal devices.
All buildings will be closed to provide staff time to clear the lots and sidewalks. Practices and games are all canceled and rescheduled dates will be coming out soon.
