The Plano School District will host its eighth annual “Salute to Service” awards ceremony on Monday, May 1st at 6 PM. The ceremony will honor Plano Premier Award recipients, ISBE “Those Who Excel” winners, retirees and service award achievements. This grand celebration will be held in the Auditorium at Plano High School. The community, family, friends and past and present students are invited to attend and congratulate these staff members and enjoy a dessert reception following the ceremony.

The City of Plano is seeking a part-time crossing guard. Hours and work days will vary according to the school calendar. The City of Plano is looking for a flexible individual to assist Plano school children to stay safe before and after school. The starting wage is $13.80/hour. Interested candidates should fill out an application and submit it to the City Clerk at the City of Plano offices located at 17 E. Main Street. eoe


The Kishwaukee River Conference (KRC) is excited to announce the addition of Plano High School and Sandwich High School to their membership. All sports and activities will compete as an eight-team conference starting in 2023-2024 except in football. Football will continue their partnership with the Interstate 8 Conference through the fall of 2023. Then in the fall of 2024, the KRC will have its own conference football schedule. The Kishwaukee River Conference has built a proud history since its inception in 2015, and are confident that the strong athletic and extracurricular traditions of these two schools will be an integral part of the future of the conference.
