D88 Offers On-Demand Read-Aloud Storytime!
Reading aloud is one of the most important things parents and teachers can do with children.
READING ALOUD...
• builds many critical foundational skills;
• introduces vocabulary;
• provides a model of fluent, expressive reading; and
• helps children recognize what reading for pleasure is all about.
Once again, D88 is offering read-aloud stories. This year, we are offering On-Demand Storytime. Read-aloud stories are available on the district website at: https://www.plano88.org/page/read-aloud-storytime
If your kids are bored in the car on the way to the pool, park or camping click here to listen to 3 of your favorite Plano teachers read well-loved stories. The stories will be on-demand all summer long, so you can listen to them on a weekly basis or binge listen over a busy travel weekend!

At a recent home basketball game, D88 volunteer Mark Parris received his meritorious service certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education as part of its prestigious “Those Who Excel” Program. He also takes photos of Plano community members at many events, including parades and festivals.
