We are proud to announce that Lexus Bovensiep has been named the recipient of a Golden Apple Scholarship when she begins college next year. She will be attending NIU and will be majoring in Music Education.  The Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois is a teacher preparation and tuition assistance program for high school seniors and freshman and sophomore Illinois college students who have the determination and drive to be highly effective teachers in Illinois schools-of-need. They prepare aspiring teachers for immediate and lasting success in the most challenging teaching environments. This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of Lexus and all the hard work she has put into her education at PHS. She's president of Thespian Society, president of Tri M Music Honor Society, and one of the most positive students ever.  Congratulations, Lexus, on this outstanding achievement!
