We are proud to announce that Isaac Olan has been named the recipient of a Golden Apple Scholarship when he begins college next year. He will be attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and will be majoring in Elementary Education. The Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois is a teacher preparation and tuition assistance program for high school seniors and freshman and sophomore Illinois college students who have the determination and drive to be highly effective teachers in Illinois schools-of-need. They prepare aspiring teachers for immediate and lasting success in the most challenging teaching environments. This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of Isaac and all the hard work he has put into his education at PHS. Isaac served as the EdRising President for the last 4 years. He is a remarkable student, a great leader, and a huge advocate for the education profession. Congratulations, Isaac, on this outstanding achievement!
