Senior Destiny Martin showed her official commitment to major in an education degree at Northern Illinois University at a signing event in her honor at Plano High School. This event was sponsored by Educators Rising, which is an organization committed to increasing the number of students leaving high school and college with the ambition to major in education.
Destiny has been a very active member of Educators Rising the past year and received her Educators Rising cord at the Senior Award Ceremony. In attendance at the event were Mrs. Julie Saller, Mr. Steve Lucas, Mr. Mark Heller, Mrs. Faith Skinner, Mrs. Jessica Johnson, Mr. Dwayne Love, Mr. Brennan Denny, Ms. Caysea Easley, and Ms. Allie Ayers. Plano High School is excited to see where Destiny's degree takes her in the future and wish her the best in the pursuit of her degree!
