As Superintendent, it is a privilege to lead Plano Community Unit School District 88, where we are fortunate to have dedicated staff, passionate educators, supportive families, and, most importantly, incredible students. Our district is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment where each student is empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we strive to make our schools a safe, innovative, and nurturing space where all students can achieve their fullest potential.

As a proud parent of two Plano High School graduates, I understand the importance of a strong partnership between our families and our educational community. I am deeply invested in the success of each student in this community I call home.  I hold a Bachelor’s degree in secondary general sciences with an emphasis in biology and health education from Eastern Illinois University (1998), a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Aurora University (2002), and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis (2016), where I completed my doctoral dissertation on peer mentoring and its impact on reducing social anxiety for incoming freshmen. Headline

My professional journey includes serving as a high school teacher and many roles within leadership, including dean of students and assistant principal for student services, director, and assistant and associate superintendent.  I have had the pleasure of working in many strong educational communities, including Somonauk 432, Morris 101, Sycamore 427, Plainfield 202, and Indian Prairie 204.  Working within a wide range of small and large districts has shaped my commitment to student-centered education and servant-focused leadership.

At Plano CUSD 88, we aim to empower and inspire our diverse student body to achieve academic excellence, experience personal growth, and positively contribute to society.  I promise to work to inspire and prepare students for success in our rapidly changing world through collaborative partnerships with families and community members; we will be proud of the commitments and actions we take to build a brighter future for every child together.
