On Wednesday, December 10th the EGJ student council hosted a Parents Night Out from 4-6.  Students from PH Miller & Centennial were invited to participate for $5.00.  The students played games, face painted, watched a short movie and participated in a sing-a-long.  Pizza, juice & cookies were provided.  A good time was had by all!!

Extra, Extra…the 7th Grade Trip to Springfield still has openings!!!

Due to the great response to the 7th Grade Springfield Trip sign-up, Plano Middle School is attempting to fill another bus!  As of Thursday, 12/11/14, there are now 24 more spots open for the Friday, 4/17/15 trip!  The $100 fee (which includes: a charter bus ride, all tickets to exhibits, and food) is due on…

Last week the Emily G. John student council members collected food & household items for Rockin’ Christmas.  The 3 classrooms that contributed the most items were Mrs. Colbert’s 4th grade class- 195 items; Miss Sibley’s 5th grade class-213 items; Mrs. Skinner’s 6th grade class-96 items.  The total number of items collected was 1897 items!! Several 6th grade students participated in Rocket Club in November.  The students built, designed, decorated, and launched their own rockets.  They had a BLAST as they watched their rockets launch into the sky!
