Announcing a New Food Service Provider for Next School Year
Every five years the school district is required by the Illinois State Board of Education to bid food service providers. The Plano School District Board of Education is pleased to welcome ARBOR MANAGEMENT, INC. as the new food service management company for Plano. The school district will retain and employ all food service employees, but Arbor will oversee the entire breakfast and lunch program and they are dedicated to providing professional management and personalized services to the districts they serve. Locally, Arbor works with Sandwich, Yorkville and Hinckley-Big Rock schools and they look forward to serving another school district on the Route 34 corridor.
Arbor believes that students are the focal point of the educational process and food services are an integral part of every school day. Arbor’s responsibility to the students extends beyond the provision of quality food and service to include nutritional education, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and innovative marketing and merchandising.
Plano School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and follows the guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture to provide meals that meet 1/3 of your child’s daily nutritional needs. Per the guidelines, meals must be 30% or less of the calories from fat and 10% or less calories from saturated fat.

Students are offered a variety of choices daily. Menus are provided monthly in a calendar format and will be posted on the district website (www.plano88.org).
